Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026
The short version
- Fluentora has no account system and no servers of its own. Your learning history — practice sessions, transcripts, vocabulary progress, saved phrases and settings — is stored only on your device.
- Your voice is transcribed by Apple's speech recognition. Fluentora never records or keeps audio.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects some device and usage data to serve and measure ads. Your learning data is never shared with Google.
- You can delete all of your learning data at any time in the app.
Who we are
Fluentora is an English speaking coach app for iPhone and iPad published by Axain Studios ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Fluentora app and this website handle, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at [support email].
Information stored on your device
To track your progress, Fluentora stores the following information locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot access it.
- Practice history: the date and length of each session, the exercise type, scores and quiz results.
- Transcripts and feedback: the text of your spoken or typed answers, conversation transcripts and the feedback shown to you.
- Vocabulary progress: favorite words and correct or incorrect answers.
- Saved phrases you choose to keep.
- Settings: your optional first name, English level, learning goal, daily goal, preferred topics, voice and speech-speed preferences, and reminder time.
If your device is backed up to iCloud or a computer, this data may be included in that backup under Apple's terms. Fluentora itself does not sync data to any server.
Microphone and speech recognition
When you tap the microphone, Fluentora asks for permission to use the microphone and speech recognition. Your voice is streamed live to Apple's Speech framework to produce a text transcript.
- Fluentora never saves audio recordings. Only the resulting text transcript is stored on your device.
- Where your device supports on-device recognition for English, Fluentora requires it, so your audio is processed on your device.
- On devices without on-device support, Apple may process audio on its servers to provide speech recognition, under Apple's Privacy Policy. This processing is performed by Apple, not by us.
You can turn off microphone or speech recognition access at any time in your device's Settings. Exercises that don't need speech, such as vocabulary and grammar, keep working.
Apple Intelligence
On supported devices running iOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence turned on, Fluentora uses Apple's on-device foundation model to generate conversation replies and feedback. These requests are processed on your device. Fluentora does not use any cloud AI service. On other devices, feedback is produced by built-in rules on your device.
Advertising
Fluentora is free and supported by ads provided by Google AdMob, part of Google LLC. Ads appear only after you finish a quiz, a review set or a conversation.
To serve, measure and prevent fraud in ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app may collect and process information such as:
- your IP address and approximate (coarse) location derived from it;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version and an identifier for this app on your device (the identifier for vendor);
- ad interactions, such as ads shown, taps and viewing time;
- diagnostic information, such as crash and performance data related to ads.
Fluentora does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, so the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available to the ads SDK. None of your learning data, transcripts, audio or settings is shared with Google.
Google's use of this information is governed by Google's policies. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your advertising choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Fluentora asks for your consent using Google's consent tool before ads are requested. You can review or change your choice at any time in the app under Profile › Ad privacy choices. Depending on your choices, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalized.
Reminders
If you turn on daily reminders, Fluentora schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. No push-notification server is involved, and you can turn reminders off in the app or in Settings.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it doesn't load fonts or scripts from third parties. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability.
How long we keep information
Information stored in the app stays on your device until you delete it. We do not hold copies. Information collected by Google for advertising is retained under Google's policies.
Deleting your data
- In the app, go to Profile › Reset progress to delete your learning history, or delete everything including your settings.
- Deleting the Fluentora app removes all of its data from your device.
- You can also delete individual practice sessions and saved phrases from their lists in the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, or state privacy laws in the United States such as the CCPA — you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent.
Because your learning data is stored only on your device, you can view and delete it directly in the app. We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. For information collected by Google for ads, you can manage your choices in the app and through Google's privacy tools. If you have a question or request, contact us at [support email] and we'll respond within the time required by law.
Children
Fluentora is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we'll help remove it.
Security
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security, including its passcode and encryption. Because we don't operate servers that store your learning data, there's no central copy of it to be breached.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or on this website.
